Adding a Clock and a Hit Counter

I've just added a analog ticking clock and a hit counter to my blog!! Anyone interested how to do this for free? It's very simple, just a few steps then you're done.

To add a clock like mine, firstly go to http://www.worldtimeserver.com/clocks/wtsclock001.aspx, and select the color, timezone, and size for your clock. After you have decided to use the clock design, copy the HTML code from the 'Option 1: Object HTML Code'. Next, go to your blog template and choose 'Add a Page Element', and choose 'HTML/Javascript', give your section a name, a "Clock" will be nice, and then paste the HTML code into the content, save and refresh your blog, it's now showing in your blog!!

Note: Your clock may not align center if you copy and paste the code. To make it center, just add a <center> in the beginning of code before anything else, and a </center> at the end of the code, this should solve the problem. For Blogger users, the location title may follow your head title style, if you prefer, you can change this too, just edit the code that reads <h2>Your Location</h2> into <h3>Your Location</h3>, where Your Location is the clock location, which in my case is Kuala Lumpur.

To add a free hit counter to your blog, you have many choices. Just head over to http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=42078&topic=8931 and select any link (you can look over some samples there and choose the one you like). I've chosen 'Easy Hit Counter' as my choice, simple and easy. Get the HTML code, and paste it to the Clock section, or you can create a new page element and put the hit counter into a different section, separating from the clock section.

Have fun adding clock and hit counter to your blog!! (works in blogger, have no idea whether it works elsewhere).

  3. Hi beary,

    To put the code just go to your Template -> Page Elements, and look for a button 'Add a Page Element', and select 'HTML/Javascript'. After that just copy the easyhitcounter code into the page, save and your blog will show it.

    To make it on the right, you may need to tweak your code. Just add the following line to your hit counter code:

    <p style="text-align:right;">
    Your hit counter code goes here
    </p>
